All of these movies are great for entertainment value, but they all lack authenticity and historical prospective. One movie that is beautiful, authentic, of historical value and was performed by REAL martial arts practitioners is 'Kuro Obi' (Black Belt). I don't want to give too much away but let me just say that the last fight scene in the movie was not
choreographed. They fought for real! The two main actors are well known martial artists in their respective style … Tatsuya Naka (Shotokan Karate) and Akihito Yagi (Goju-Ryu Karate). I strongly encourage anyone practicing or interested in the martial arts to see 'Kuro Obi'. If your life is centered around traditional martial arts you will never forget
having seen this movie.
