Question for Viewers: What other weapons should we look at?
Underrated use for knuckles arm locks and various wrist locks
I'm not sure if he's hitting with it correctly. If I'm not wrong, you should punch more with your palm, almost like you're pushing it away, rather than punching with the knuckles.
Talking from experience and as well as handling cases in the Hospital ER, Brass Knuckles is really effective as a concealable melee self-defense tool. It does multiply the force and damaging potential of your punches exponentially. It will hurt your hand though if you use it for punching hard inanimate surfaces as the weapon is design to strike flesh and not boards nor bricks. But it is definitely effective. As what @Hawkeye-ef4xf already mentioned, the weapon will open up flesh brutally, enough to cause avulsion injuries. The problem with carrying this weapon is more with concerns regarding state/country laws, apart from bad press the said weapon has. But I personally love it for self-protection during graveyard duty shifts when I have to walk at night, short of carrying a licensed firearm.
If it hurting you your holding it wrong
When they fit right, they're devastating to bone.
I found this while searching for custom-made knuckles. I have a brass "paperweight". I don't mind them, but I would like one that's made to fit my hand.
✌🏻&❤️
Cowards use weapons men fight with fists until death of homosexuals and bitches use weapons men fight with fists
Take the blind file off because that’s not mimic a fight or self defense situation. The knuckles you have are designed wrong and should not hit the base of you palm. Also the way it’s built would not allow you to use your hand to grip in a fight. Common sense will tell you that metal is much stronger than bone so the knuckles will do far more damage than a bare knuckle. I’m 57 so I’m at a disadvantage so if it came to the point of a fight I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t care if they were bleeding from my punch. A simple pop in the lip or nose could cause blood even without knuckles. The knuckles built correctly would have a metal on top with cushion rubber in the rings as well as the palm area
These guys are clowns.
Brass knuckles are an effective self-defense tool. They concentrate force, allowing you to do more damage without more effort, while protecting your striking hand from damage.
If I need to defend myself, I want very effective tools.
They’re referred to by the law as a Prohibitive Offensive Weapon, like nunchucks, switchblades, the knives that shoot blades, etc. Basically, weapons that are only for causing harm. For me? That label only makes me want those weapons more. If you live in a crime-ridden area, I believe a case can be made that brass knuckles are for self-defense.
this was a half ass video lol
I know I'm late to the party, but I'm pretty sure knuckle duster just means killer knuckles. Biting the dust is a common euphemism for dying, so it's a knuckle that dusts.
One of my friends was assaulted by a guy holding those. Being a judoca, he managed to grapple and take the knuckles of the hand. Biggest mistake was that he theatrically threw them away, as they "did not save the thug" and recieved a textbook knockout uppercut while doing so.
Bad people use those well. All the techniques with the taking the hat out and punching through it and so on… those are definitely terrible when you don't expect it.
It hurts when y'all are hitting with them because you are holding them wrong. They don't go over your back knuckles where you wear rings. They go over the front part of the first. When worn like that the brace in your hand is solid and doesn't hurt
Now imagine that brass knuckle you used on that board made of hardened stainless steel. Real good stainless steel. And on one end a 3 inch blade is part of it (not bolted on, the whole thing machined out of stainless steel.) The knuckle becomes the full tang for the knife. Nice wide blade. And a kydex sheath to get it to securely fit on your belt under your t-shirt. And the other end of the knuckle has a 'skull crusher' pommel. All part of one block of steel!!!
I trained muay thai for 5 years before switching to bjj but after 2 years in mt i stopped wearing wraps as i felt my hands could harden over time the last time i was training upper body striking for about 2 years and i built my hands up to being able to punch a metal structural pole with 12 oz gloves at full blast for a few rounds. My knuckles grew and the gap between them shrunk ive been in a couple fights since then and whenever i hit someone i almost didnt know if i made contact their face felt like punching through the air you can condition knuckles to take a bad beating even though the hand is weak structurally but there is risk of short and long term complications also genetics play a role as well.
Those knuckles are way too large for your awkward, short, child sized body and hands, bro.
You're holding them wrong..
PSA:
Maybe Watch a tutorial before making one…
Brass knuckles have been around since brass was discovered. They have been used since the Roman Legions!! Yes they work and yes they are uncomfortable!!!!
Sorry boss a bit old….but what about swapping the duster for 4 heavy rings? Cheers
Morale of the story is quit being a little b*tch and really hit it for the sake of the video and experiment!
so what is better 357 mag or brass knuckles ? If you are out there camping and you are 80 years old what do you do give up?
