After Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan became Hong Kong’s most famous film star and martial artist. Unlike Bruce Lee, who was famous for his martial arts prowess, Chan became known for his ludicrously dangerous stunts. This scene from his hit movie Rush Hour impresses both through the dialogue with his co-star, Chris Tucker, which is fluid and comedy-filled, and through the dangerous stunt, he performs. He Grabs the Hollywood Boulevard Sign, by surprise, while in a moving double-decker bus and remains suspended in the air. This is a must-see for all Jackie Chan Fans out there. Jackie performs all his stunts in his movies and his genre of action-comedy is awesome to watch and enjoy.
Jackie Chan has been a part of over 200 movies in his career as an actor. It’s what he rose to prominence for and rightfully won him a Lifetime Achievement award at the Oscars. However, another thing that a lot of people look up to the Chinese star for is his martial arts moves. He took to the discipline at a very young age and has been devoted to it ever since.
He introduced the world of cinema to the wonders of taekwondo, and Shaolin kung-fu through successful franchises like Rush Hour and The Karate Kid and inspired people from all age groups to give martial arts training a shot.
Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more videos about life and human nature!
