I'm here because I read US military veteran Isaac Woodard was blinded in both eyes in 1946 South Carolina by police chief Shull because of lethal combination of racism & police brutality.
Decades ago, my next door neighbors went to the states and bought back a tan hide black sap a tiny little thing, only 8inches long. But quite heavy towards the tip, with a mean wallop. I’ve always wanted one for self defense. There awesome.
Except as provided in Section 22215 and Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 17700) of Division 2 of Title 2, any person in this state who manufactures or causes to be manufactured, imports into the state, keeps for sale, or offers or exposes for sale, or who gives, lends, or possesses any leaded cane, or any instrument or weapon of the kind commonly known as a billy, blackjack, sandbag, sandclub, sap, or slungshot, is punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year or imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170. https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=PEN§ionNum=22210.
these always looked comical to me…like you're gonna slap someone w a dildo. just doesn't seem like it would hurt more than a first or just about anything else. but I believe you that it will do damage. it must.
Blackjack will put your ass to sleep. A cop in this book deals with blackjacks and puts some serious pain on gangsters in 1919 New York. Check it: https://www.facebook.com/artofneed/
Pretty awesome video . black jacks seem like no joke. id love to keep one in my truck too incase someone tries to reach in . Just to have one in the car for protection really. Anyone know how to purchase one of these?
It's still deadly, it works perfect and will break their knee but I've never used it. It's got a lot of wear but looks perfect. If you were getting jumped that thing won't do a thing for you. Mostly likely trying to use that will get you hurt even worse.
for lookin like a wobbly dilow it sure is a nasty fucking weapon. You should be able to carry whatever the fuck you want nowadays. with all the nutjobs of the world.
I have a blackjack that I found in my a box of things that was my grandpa's. I have a friend that keeps asking me if I will sell it to him. No, is what I keep telling him. I live in Arizona but don't know if they are illegal to carry here. Right now it hangs on the wall as a conversation piece but per your suggestion it may end up next to my seat in my car. I live in a small town that is pretty quiet and slow not a big city but you never know. We have road rage here too. It is well used but still in very great shape and the pattern and two-tone color of the leather is nice. I think it is a Bucheimer from pictures I have been looking up on the internet. Thank you for your video and the information. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
It's kind of fucking retarded that in many states, some where you don't even need a concealed weapons license, you can carry a Desert Eagle or Glock 17 but you can't carry a blackjack.
A blackjack or termed by some as a Sap is perhaps the best self defense weapon ever devised. They are illegal to carry in almost every state. You can carry a gun legally, but you can't carry a blackjack legally. If you swing one of these at a threat you will be put in prison. Oddly a Blackjack is considered a deadly weapon. Which if applied below the head is not fatal. Never hit anyone in the head with one. It will kill them. I carry one when on the street no matter the legality. And have only needed to use it a couple times. And hitting someone in the elbow for example puts the threat down. This tool is not legal. So beware of the consequences if you use one.
subscribed. was playing battlefield hardline and got killed by someone who got me with a black jack. never heard of it and looked it up. my search brought me here. very informative. thank you blade t s master !
I looked up but could only find light weight Blackjacks for less than $50. Where do I find some great quality, new condition, heavy duty Blackjacks??? How to buy the one which lasts forever and which is also heavy enough. Please let me know, anyone? Thanks in advance!
At my friends house, they got a cardboard box with some really old stuff that his grandpa had. We were digging through it and we found a blackjack. We thought it was the funniest thing, until we tested it out on ourselves. That silly looking leather bat hits with the power of a thousand freight trains! You'd have to be from another planet to be crazy enough to mess with someone who had a blackjack in their hand.
Sorry, but if an opponent has a knife I'll crack his head WIDE open. A knife is a deadly weapon and he who wields one criminally deserves a deadly response.

If you seen Homer in space you know to hit someone in the back of the neck with the "beaver tail"
I have a "flat jack" blackjack from 1940 with a bar of iron in the center
I see a few online, but nothing that looks quite like that… anyone got a lead?

My Grandfather knew a guy who was beaten to death by blackjacks by the Mafia.

I was wondering what it was. I was reading what I can bring on a plane. I don't need to bring that on the plane, hahaha!
His grandfather got both from from police officers? Even though the slapjack was almost brand new 🤔

It's an ambush weapon but thanks. I wanted to make one.
Its only illegal if you give a shit about paternalist laws. If you have a real conscience, don't worry about it.
always wondered why they were so insanely powerful.. never even knew it was a super stiff coil spring stuff inside. great review
