Welcome to the Martial Arts Journey YouTube channel!
My name is Rokas. I’m a Lithuanian guy who trained Aikido for 14 years, 7 of them running a professional Aikido Dojo until eventually I realized that Aikido does not live up to what it promises.
Lead by this realization I decided to make a daring step to close my Aikido Dojo and move to Portland, Oregon for six months to start training MMA at the famous Straight Blast Gym Headquarters under head coach Matt Thornton.
After six months intensive training I had my first amateur MMA fight after which I moved back to Lithuania. During all of this time I am documenting my experience through my YouTube channel called “Martial Arts Journey”.
Now I am slowly setting up plans to continue training MMA under quality guidance and getting ready for my next MMA fight as I further document and share my journey and discoveries.

Definitely dated the girls that try to get you in a fight. Just because i got lucky in a few fights, i was supposed to be a gangster or something.
I even got beat up while legitimately defending a girl one time.
Thankfully i had some big friends, one was a boxer, and the other was a wrestling stud from Illinois. So, i didn't get hurt to bad.
I know I'm late, but being punished for being a good samaritan seems weird. I understand the logic that you're putting yourself at risk, but maybe there are situations where that's an admirable thing. By similar logic, the best thing to do in the movie challenge is like push the girlfriend over & run away. As for the last challenge, firstly, this actress is like a professional menace, it's great, & secondly, what would happen if you just decided to go for the totally inappropriate office romance?
8:26 Best line xD "I thought you were Sensei, not sensitive" hahaha
very interesting, but it would be really interesting to recruit woman as contestant. Unfortunately men's are far more often temting to sexualy assault women's or agressive in a cinema 🙂 But great video thanks
I get that it's best to run most of the time, but if someone is in danger who isn't capable of helping themselves, like a mental patient, you have a duty to protect them. Where does that rule of running away end exactly? Imagine a terror attack where all the men just run away vs. take down the attacker together.
Well designed scenarios, and entertaining
Icy Mike had a clean exit on the 3rd scenario: kudos 👏
The MJ chick seemed very unrealistic considering most of those men would never date someone so crazy.
1st dude did his job perfectly, de-escalated the situation and moved on, violence if you're the aggressor, isn't self defence
Very good scenarois, especially the last one 🤭
“And then, a humongous, enormous, I mean impossibly big creature…” made me laugh out loud dude 😂
Again, best series out there. Outstanding!
Wait are they actually martial arts experts or just self proclaimed experts that are really simple YouTubers?
Com'on !
Nobody wanna fuck the girl on the desk in this situation ?
Yeah no thanks, no one would want to fight anyone covered in shit or smells like shit yuck
These were all great scenarios, great vid.
Anyone notice mike got bit on the head? Perfect zombie move there.
These were fantastic scenarios and very interesting to see each contestant's approaches! I think especially in 1 and 3 a little more scenario context might have helped. Is MJ Girlfriend someone they already know and trust or is this a 1st date? How badly do they need that job in scenario 3? Because it's easy to walk away and blow up the job in a pretend scenario, much harder if you need it to keep food on the table.
Also very interesting how the judges leaned towards holding the contestants responsible for MJ's actions in the theatre, but not for the wellbeing of the two men in Scenario 2. Agreed in 2 the best course would be to get out and get help though for sure.
So… Ramsey should have "Controlled his woman." Got it.
This is so amazing. People can learn so much from these scenarios. Thank you guys 🙏🏼
Well the best all round cure to that problem is get a nicer girlfriend.
Cannot believe I've slept on this for so long. These guys are some real bros and all these episodes are so grueling but it goes to show our true fear as natural born warriors:
Talking to women
Ramsey, the autist (I'm autist too).
I would have so failed the job scenario 🤣🤣🤣
I think scenarios 1and 3 are good, but scenario 2 ??
How many regular, normal people wake up in a shower where the exit is blocked by two actively psychotic, potentially violent mental patients?
The scenario is not realistic and judging participants reactions to such an improbable situation is almost completely arbitrary.
Life in San Francisco simulator.
The US police should've gone through this to learn better de-escalation
00:08:40 – man I feel you! 100!
I am surprised that in the scenario of blood and pxxxp the self defence experts, did not run away, and most of all you guys dealedn and touched the persons, run away go away and dont touch them
Thanks to share this, these are the types of scenarios we all we have to train….
Wow. This was… REALLY GOOD. The last scenario was especially good. Imagine if that happened in real life, that would be terrifying as a guy. And then… imagine that happening in real life as a WOMAN, that's even worse because then you're probably also physically weaker than the other person. And then to think that this does in fact happen to women in real life all the time… 😞
Men, we gotta talk.
"I think more self-defense schools should take time practicing this sort of thing." I concur Ramsey…I concur.
I am weak when it comes to women so I would have failed the job thing , jumped her bones and been homeless but I would have bitten her on the rear developed lockjaw and been dragged to my death ☠️
The chance of last scenario happening is probably less than the odds of winning the lottery…
If he had accepted her game, he could have got a promotion😆 I would use this chance)
I think these scenarios should incorporate cell phones. In scenario 2 the first thing you should do is call emergency services the second you see someone covered in blood. In scenario 3 a cell phone would also help, you make some excuse to use it for a second "Oh hold on a sec this might be my mom she's in the hospital" turn on voice-memo and start recording.
Icy Mike was brilliant in scenario 2 though. The whole time I was thinking of the best ways to deal with this and when he came up with needing to use the bathroom I was like "damn why didn't I think of that!".
Don't entirely understand why Matt lost a point in the 3rd scenario for closing the door. In a conversation about your job not everybody needs to know everything, closing the door creates a private space that allows better communication. And as soon as there were signs for the real threat he caught that and left immidiatly.
